Farmers Bank and Trust Distinguished Speaker Series 2009

The 2009 Farmers Bank and Trust Distinguished Speaker Series will be featuring Ehud Olmert, Former Prime Minister of the State of Israel. This event will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center in the Grand Hall on the campus of Southern Arkansas University. There will be a private reception held at Farmers Bank and Trust at 6:00 p.m. Guests at the private reception will have the opportunity for a professional photo with Ehud Olmert. The dinner will begin at 7:00 with the lecture to follow.

Proceeds from this event benefit the SAU Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Tickets for the event are $200 for private VIP reception, dinner and lecture or $100 for dinner and lecture.

Tom Ulrich coming to SAU

February 11, 2009

Famed nature photographer Tom Ulrich will present a lecture featuring his photographic transparencies at Southern Arkansas University on April 15-16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Reynolds Center. The event is being sponsored by donations to the Southern Arkansas University Foundation.

Ulrich’s collection of over 600,000 transparencies has been used by many prestigious national publications including National Geographic, the Audubon Society, National Wildlife, Ranger Rick, and Life. He has published seven nature books: Mammals of the Canadian Rockies, Birds of the Canadian Rockies, Mammals of the Northern Rockies, Birds of the Northern Rockies, Once Upon a Frame, Photo Pantanal, and Mt. Reynolds: The Story.

7th Annual Foundation Christmas Gala

Southern Arkansas University Foundation with President and Mrs. David F. Rankin will host the 7th Annual Foundation Christmas Gala at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Magnolia Country Club.

The evening will feature live dance music and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

On October 18th, 2007 we honored 2006-2007 fiscal year donors. We heard Whitney Black describe how her scholarship is enriching her university life and enabling her to participate in programs that she could not experience without this assistance. We were touched by Billy Wallace who spoke of the joy that his sister Bettie Clark has brought to their family through giving.Dr. Rankin presents the Mulerider Award to Farmers Bank & Trust
