Reynolds Center
The 75,643-square-foot Donald W. Reynolds Campus and Community Center was completed in June 2004. This project was made possible by a grant of $12.3 million awarded by the Las Vegas-based Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. With contributions from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends, the $2.46 million restricted fund required of the SAU Foundation for a building maintenance fund was met. This multi-use facility houses the University’s offices and organizations, as well as community nonprofit organizations from around the county, and also serves as a conference center for the entire region. Features of the Reynolds Center include a Grand Hall, conference rooms, a lecture hall, a student lounge, the Blue and Gold student cafeteria, the Mulerider Café, the Employment Resource Center, University Health Services, a campus store, a post office, and a commuter lounge with a TV/snack area and study area. In addition, a new 520- space parking lot was built across the road from the Reynolds Center.
