About SAUF

Mission

The mission of Southern Arkansas University Foundation is to assist and coordinate in raising and managing funds and resources on behalf of Southern Arkansas University to be used exclusively in furthering the literary, scientific, and educational purposes of the university.

Volunteer Leadership

The SAU Foundation is directed by a Board of Governors who serve a term of three years. New governors are elected annually by the board from nominees suggested by the board, the alumni association, the SAU faculty, and friends of the Foundation. Governors receive no compensation for their services.

Policies

Foundation policies are established by the Foundation Board of Governors and are compatible with the policies of the University Board of Trustees. Policies cover such areas as Gift Acceptance, Investment, Endowment Payout, and Confidentiality.

By-laws

The SAU Foundation was chartered under Arkansas law in 1981 and is a 501 (C) (3) corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.

The staff of Southern Arkansas University Foundation welcomes your questions, comments and suggestions. Please feel free to call us at any time. The SAU Foundation staff offices are located in the Reynolds Center on the University Campus.

Financials

Southern Arkansas University Foundation endorses the principle of transparency regarding our financial transactions. Our Annual Report and Form 990 are available to the public on this website. You may also request copies of the annual report, Form 990 or audited financial statements through our office at 870-235-4708.
