Founded on Generosity was the theme of the 33rd annual Southern Arkansas University Foundation Honors Dinner on Saturday, April 1st. Each year the SAU Foundation Board of Governors hosts the dinner to thank the generous benefactors of the University.
This year’s celebration was held on the 108th anniversary of Founder’s Day. On April 1, 1909, Arkansas Governor George W. Donaghey signed Act 100, creating the Third District Agricultural School, now Southern Arkansas University. The generosity and dedicated fundraising efforts of local leaders made Magnolia the winner among those vying for the school.
Recognized during the evening were members of the Consecutive Giving Society, new members of the Lifetime Giving Societies, annual donors, and those who completed endowments.
