- Incoming freshman to Southern Arkansas University

- Applicants must complete the scholarship application at this link: Buddy Atkinson Memorial Scholarship Application and submit a cover letter stating how this scholarship will be beneficial and a document that lists school/community activities, awards, honors, etc.
- Application deadline is June 1st.
- Two letters of recommendation – one must be from a school official

- Majoring in Nursing

Windgate Studio Art Scholarship
- Majoring in Studio Art
- Awarded by the SAU Art Department Faculty
- Renewable based on continually meeting the following criteria:
- Continue as a studio art major
- Complete 12 or more semester hours on the SAU campus each semester
- Measures of productivity and quality of work executed within the art classes, as well as, five hours of service per week for the art department
- Service hours may include teaching assistant, lab tech, research assistant, and/or gallery assistant. Departmental internship experiences are designed to strengthen the students’ skills for applying for graduate programs or for the work force.
- Minimum of 2.5 GPA
