Mr. and Mrs. E. M. (Mack) Anderson Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. and Mrs. E. M. (Mack) Anderson for an entering freshman with a minimum 3.5 GPA. If candidates are equally qualified academically, then preference shall be given to a financially needy student.

William A. Anderson Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. Anderson to benefit an Engineering or Business student from Arkansas or Texas who show leadership skills in addition to academic ability.

Arkansas Seed Dealers Association Scholarship: Funds provided by the Arkansas Seed Dealers Association to benefit an Agriculture student from Arkansas.

Fincher Anniversary Scholarship: Funds provided by friends and family of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fincher in honor of their Golden Wedding anniversary.

Betty L. Fincher Scott Scholarship: Funds provided by Peoples Bank in memory of Mrs. Scott to benefit a student majoring in a pre-medical field.

David Whitmore Golf Scholarship: Funds provided by the estate of Bonnie Whitmore in honor of her son to benefit a member of the Mulerider Golf team.

James Whitmore Golf Scholarship: Funds provided by the estate of Bonnie Whitmore in memory of her husband to benefit a member of the Mulerider Golf team.

James and David Whitmore Golf Scholarship: Funds provided by the estate of Bonnie Whitmore in memory of her husband and in honor of her son to benefit a member of the Mulerider Golf team.

Drs. James H. and Bonnie Kirby Whitmore Scholarship: Funds provided by Drs. James and Bonnie Whitmore. Preference shall be given to students in the field of Agriculture.

James E. (Sonny) Whittington Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wilson, Jr. in honor of Mr. Whittington. First preference shall be given to a graduate of Rison High School; second preference to a graduate from Cleveland County; and third preference to any student preparing for a career in Coaching.

Col. Charles S. and Orleta Wilkins Scholarship: Funds provided by Col. Charlie S. Wilkins. Preference shall be given to an athlete.

VAdm. Joe, Jr. and Margaret Smith Williams Scholarship: Funds provided by VAdm. and Mrs. Joe Williams, Jr.

Kelly and Sara Halliday Williams Scholarship: Funds provided by Reverend and Mrs. Kelly Williams and friends.

Charles Fred Williamson Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. Frank Merritt.

Annie B. Wilson Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Wilson and Mrs. Mary Louise Wilson Pickens in honor of their mother. Preference shall be given to active members of the First Baptist Church of Magnolia, Arkansas.

Dr. Deborah Wilson Scholarship: Funds provided by Roger and Amy Wilson in honor of Dr. Deborah Wilson to benefit a student majoring in Psychology.

Dr. John H. Wilson Scholarship: Funds provided by Dr. John H. Wilson.

Ralph and Vahnita Delaney Wilson Scholarship: Funds provided by Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Wilson.

Edward Alton and Izora McCollum Wilson Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. E. A. Wilson, his daughters, and friends.  Preference shall be given to a member of the basketball team or a 4-H member.

Bryan Womack Scholarship: Funds provided by family and friends in memory of Bryan Womack to benefit a member of the golf team or a Business major.

Claudell Woods Scholarship: Funds provided by the Columbia County NAACP in memory of Claudell Woods to provide a scholarship for a Political Science student.

McEachern Bruce (Mac) Woodward Scholarship: Funds provided by Dr. and Mrs. Larry Embree in memory of Dr. Embree’s esteemed longtime classmate and cherished lifelong friend.

E. M. Wooley Scholarship: Funds provided by Mrs. Kathryn Wooley Coffey in memory of Mr. Wooley. Preference shall be given to students who have average, but not necessarily superior academic ability, and who have financial need.

Buddy and Linda Wray Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. and Mrs. Wray. Preference shall be given to an Agriculture student.

Mary K. Wyrick Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. Frank Merritt in memory of his cousin.

Col. Neill A. Yarborough Scholarship: Funds provided by Col. Neill Yarborough to benefit a graduate of Bossier City High School.

York-Pruden Agriculture Scholarship: Funds provided by Jerry and Twyla York Pruden in honor of Jerry and Twyla York Pruden’s parents, Fern and Homer York and Jerri and Jim Pruden, Jr. to benefit a student majoring in Agriculture.

Ruth and Curtis Youngblood Scholarship: Funds provided by Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Youngblood in memory of his sister.

The mission of Southern Arkansas University Foundation is to assist and coordinate in raising and managing funds and resources on behalf of Southern Arkansas University to be used exclusively in furthering the literary, scientific, and educational purposes of the university.
